Middleton Distribution Centre & Warehouse Strengthening

Project Portfolio

CM New Zealand was engaged by the property owner to oversee and deliver the full design, financial administration, and construction of this project (PQS + EtC). The scope consisted of strengthening a complex insitu concrete and tilt panel structure that had sustained damage from the Canterbury Earthquake Sequence. CM-NZ led the procurement of specialist consultants then managed the design of the strengthening solution in strict alignment with the client’s budget. The entire project had to be then executed in a live high-security MPI approved transitional facility. A main contractor was procured that met a specific brief with a demonstrated capability of delivering the project scope whilst meeting the client strict security parameters. The project faced substantial challenges through the construction phase that required carefully executed variations to the scope and budget management. The project was delivered to the client’s exact expectations.
